| What sets the MBS system apart from other
ABS systems?
Modular Approach Saves Cost.
The ABS electronics and brake modulating hardware are separate from
the brake valve. The MBS system retains a traditional and service-proven
relay valve to actuate the brakes. Troubleshooting is easier than
with other systems that package the brake valve with the electronics.
If repairs are ever required, the railed component only can be replaced
instead of the entire module, saving cost.
Integrated Quick Exhaust Valve Provides Benefits.
The MBS system provides a quick exhaust feature, improving the system's
brake release response time. This feature also automatically flushes
contaminants from the system with every release, removing a major
source of failures.
One-Worker Diagnostics
With this Wabash National exclusive, only one individual is required
to diagnose and troubleshoot the MBS system. A maintenance switch
in the ABS lamp harness allows the technician standing by the tandem
to initiate the self-diagnostic process. Diagnostic information
is displayed by warning lamp flash codes. Diagnostics capabilities
are self-contained - no additional hardware is required.
Top Performance
The MBS system offers reliable braking performance providing stopping
distances and stability comparable to other premium systems.
"Easy-Access" Mounting
The Antilock Control Module is mounted toward the front of the suspension
bogie, either directly on a crossmember or siderail, or on a simple
bracket. This provides quick access if maintenance or service are
ever required.
