EZ-7™ Modular 7-Way

- New Design 7-Way Saves Maintenance Cost and Trailer Downtime

Sometimes it’s the little things that count. The new EZ-7™ Modular 7-Way is an example of the thoughtful approach to trailer design that sets Wabash National apart from the pack.

Intelligent design saves maintenance dollars and trailer downtime.

The EZ-7™ plug’s modular design features wiring that doesn’t attach directly to the J560 receptacle. Instead, all wires are permanently attached to stacking studs located in the base of the box. These studs are connected to a fixed outlet. The J560 receptacle plugs into the outlet and is secured simply by two fasteners.

The Result: Easy repair if the receptacle is damaged and needs to be replaced. There is no longer a need to reconnect all the wiring to the new receptacle. Simply remove the fasteners that hold the old receptacle in place and unplug it from the box. Plug in a new receptacle, replace the fasteners and you're back on the road! All trailer wires remain connected and undisturbed.

7-Way maintenance downtime is eliminated!
No more “spaghetti bowl” of wires to deal with.
No possibility of receptacle repair resulting in misrouted wires.
Undisturbed connections remain tight, reducing chances of intermittent open or short circuits.

Designed with the future in mind:
Incorporates two cable inlets through the bottom of the nose box allowing additional electronic device
wiring.
Three integrated circuit board slots in nose box offer opportunities for future enhancements such as circuit breakers or other Smart Trailer™ devices.

Available for all trailers:

Surface mount or recessed mount options available.
Standard mounting hole pattern for easy retrofit on existing trailers.
Compatible J560 receptacles are available from Phillips, Pollak and Tramec.

The EZ-7™ Modular 7-Way is another example of Wabash National value-added design... dedicated to improving every aspect of trailer performance.
