DuraPlate®

What is "DuraPlate"?
DuraPlate trailer sidewalls are made of a remarkable new composite material. The DuraPlate material is composed of a polyethylene plastic core sandwiched between two sheets of pre-painted (inner and outer) high-strength galvanized steel. The result is an efficient, lightweight, incredibly strong panel that provides important advantages over both aluminum plate and traditional sheet and post sidewall designs. More about DuraPlate....

In addition to the Standard Features found on all Wabash brand trailers, Wabash DuraPlate Vans offer the following unique features:

Unique Proprietary DuraPlate Technology provides exceptional resistance to damage, leaks and corrosion. 80,000 yield hardened steel skins (interior and exterior) are precoated and galvanized for maximum strength and durability.
Two Continuous Steel Skins provide two tough barriers to moisture entry into the cargo area. The DuraPlate plastic core is also impervious to moisture and won't deteriorate even if the outer skin is punctured..
"Post-less" Design provides plate trailer benefits without exterior wall stiffeners found on aluminum plate trailers. Smooth exterior provides an ideal surface for customer graphics.
No Plywood Liner means lower maintenance costs and no liner damage to snag loads.
Plate Walls That Stay Flat. High strength steel skins provide both strength and flexibility. The wall flexes to accept load or forklift contact…but returns to its original flat shape when released. No permanent bulging, denting or deformation as found on aluminum plate vans.
Damage-Resistant and Easy to Repair. Tough DuraPlate walls are highly resistant to damage from routine loading and unloading. Repair techniques include pressure-sensitive tape, riveted patches or panel replacement, depending on the severity of the damage.
